Jacob Elordi may have felt “dead inside” while filming the Kissing Booth trilogy, but Taylor Zakhar Perez was more than happy to be there.

“I thought it was a shame because to my knowledge, everybody else had such a wonderful experience,” Perez, 31, told Variety in a Friday, November 17, interview. “It’s a shame that was [Elordi’s] experience. Especially when those movies came out, it was a time when we really needed something like that.”

The Kissing Booth first premiered in 2018 and starred Elordi, 26, alongside Joey King and Joel Courtney. Perez joined the cast for the franchise’s subsequent sequels, which hit Netflix in 2020 and 2021 at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Perez told Variety that judging from his own fans’ interactions and getting stopped “everywhere” he goes, he can see what The Kissing Booth “means to people and what it brought them during such a dark time.” He added that for Elordi, the silver lining is that he “still made people laugh and feel good.”

Reconsidering the past? Some actors aren’t proud of every project they’ve been a part of — even the ones that skyrockets their careers. Shailene Woodley scored her big break on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, but the experience came with its own issues. After playing teen mother Amy Juergens from 2008 until 2013, […]

Elordi made headlines earlier this month when he revealed that he didn’t want to make the films even “before” he started shooting them, telling GQ, “Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.”

The Priscilla star described the rom-com trilogy as “one for them, one for me” films —  a Hollywood phrase that describes actors doing one big budget movie for money to allow them the opportunity for smaller passion projects. Elordi noted that the concept of “one and one” was a “trap” he didn’t want to fall into.

“Because it can become 15 for them, none for you,” he explained. “You have no original ideas and you’re dead inside. So, it’s a fine dance. My ‘one for them,’ I’ve done it.”

When asked if he’d heard from his former costars regarding his comments on the films, Elordi told Variety earlier this week that he hadn’t, but clarified that he is “incredibly grateful to everybody” involved in them.

This isn’t the first time Elordi has been vocal about his distaste for the Kissing Booth franchise. He previously told Esquire in 2021 that he felt “corny” and “terribly misunderstood” because of the movies he’s made in the past. “I had to prove I was a serious actor,” he explained.

Elordi has since steered away from the rom-com genre and delved into more dramatic roles including Nate Jacobs on HBO’s Euphoria and Elvis Presley in Sophia Coppola’s 2023 film Priscilla, which is based on Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me.

Earlier this month, Elordi opened up about playing a side of the King of Rock n Roll that some people may not want to see.

“For me, it was portraying this person the way that she had described him in the moments that [Priscilla] had described,” he told E! News at the time. When asked why he was “so good at playing troubled men,” Elordi replied, “I don’t know if it’s necessarily always troubled men. It’s just I enjoy playing complex people.”

What happens on The Bachelor, doesn’t always stay on The Bachelor! While many couples have found — or lost — love on the reality TV dating franchise over the years, others have met their match within Bachelor Nation after their season ended.

Katie Thurston joined the club of offcamera Bachelor Nation couples in November 2021 when Us Weekly confirmed her relationship with John Hersey — who she sent home in week two of The Bachelorette season 17 — after her broken engagement to Blake Moynes. The duo dated for more than six months before their June 2022 split.

While Thurston and Hersey got a second chance after the cameras stopped rolling, some Bachelor Nation members never crossed paths onscreen before finding love later on, such as Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick, who dated from January 2019 to August 2023 before going their separate ways.

The Selling Sunset star, 36, revealed via Instagram on Wednesday, December 6, that got a tattoo of her little one’s name behind her ear. The moniker was placed right below a heart.

“Before & after Tristan …it’s the little things ,” Heather captioned a photo of the new ink next to a picture of herself with Tarek, 42, while seemingly pregnant.

Heather also took to her Instagram Stories to share videos of herself getting the tattoo, which was crafted by artist Kareem Masarani. She laid down on the table as Tarek, 41, narrated the big moment.

The next chapter of her life! Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young) has often opened up about becoming a stepparent and a mother. The Selling Sunset star, who started dating Tarek El Moussa in 2019, gushed about the bond she formed with her now-husband’s children. The HGTV star, for his part, shares Taylor and son […]

“Got a little something today,” she wrote over the clips. “Got my little love’s name on me.”

Heather and Tarek welcomed Tristan in January after tying the knot in October 2021. Tarek is also the father of Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall.

Since announcing her pregnancy in July 2022, Heather has been candid about the ups and downs of parenthood. In October, the reality star revealed that she had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.

“I remember saying to my assistant, ‘I feel like I’m dead,’” she told Today.com at the time. “My brain was so tired. My body was so tired. I was exhausted all the time and no amount of sleep could make it better.”

Heather initially attributed the issues to “mommy brain” but was later diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease by her doctor: an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland, per the Mayo Clinic. Symptoms of the condition can include fatigue, muscle aches, joint pain and problems with memory. (She has since started medication.)

Motherhood, however, isn’t all challenges. Heather exclusively told Us Weekly in June that she is “obsessed” with being a mom and noted that she is learning every day despite already being a stepmom to Taylor and Brayden. “Going through the newborn stage and having a baby is a completely different ballgame,” she told Us.

“At first it’s chaos, right? You have this new baby at home you’re trying to figure out everything and you’re postpartum,” she continued. “Everything’s different. But I did not think I’d be this obsessed and in love with him. I knew I would love him, obviously, but it’s, like, this obsession and love. It’s so hard to even leave him and go run errands. It’s hard to go to the gym.”

Heather added that it didn’t take long for motherhood to completely change her for the better. “I’m definitely more calm and more patient and just more loving overall,” she shared. “And I’m not letting things upset me and bother me. Like if something stressful is going on, or people are being negative and talking s–t out in public, I’m kind of like, ‘You know what? Whatever?’ Because my peace for Tristan is more important.”

Tom Sandoval: I Fought So Hard for Raquel Leviss! She Broke My Heart! on December 8, 2023 at 10:34 am The Hollywood Gossip

Tom Sandoval would like some sympathy, please.

Nine months after he earned the reputation as maybe the most despicable reality star in Bravo history — due to his stunning affair with Raquel Leviss while he was dating co-star Ariana Madix — the businessman wants everyone to know that he’s hurting.

He’s in pain.

And it’s because his relationship with Leviss was far more than a fling, Sandoval now says.

“I fought so hard for Rachel,” Sandoval said on the December 7 episode of the Two T’s in a Pod podcast.

“I stopped drinking. I stopped smoking cigarettes because she went away to a facility. I’m like, ‘She can’t drink, she can’t smoke. I’m gonna quit.’”

Indeed, Leviss checked into a rehab facility in April amid fallout from her romance with Sandoval.

A few months later, Sandoval ripped his ex as immature and petty because Leviss blocked him on Instagram.

Now, however, Sandoval says he’s been sober for eight months and claims he “was there in any way that [Raquel] needed” before she cut him out of her life and moved to Arizona.

“We were best friends,” Sandoval said on the podcast.

“It’s heartbreaking to go through. I was fully in love with her. She’s not just some hot girl. I was a model for 15 years, it’s deeper than that.”

Sandoval dated Madix for over nine years.

She then discovered FaceTime videos on his phone in the early spring of 2023 from Leviss that exposed her relationship with Sandoval, promptly dumped him… and the scandal has taken on a chaotic life of its own ever since.

In this new interview, Sandoval explains that he also wanted to go away for awhile in order to work on his mental health issues… but he had previously agreed to tour with his band.

“I had to make money,” Sandoval says.

“Every single month, all the bills come out of my accounts. The mortgage comes out of my account every month. So, while Ariana’s shooting all these ads, she’s six months behind in bills.”

Sandoval added that he no longer talks to Madix.

As for whether Leviss truly loved him before their split?

Responded Sandoval, who has said he contemplated suicide in the wake of their break-up:

“I hope she did.

“The way she just shooed me away, I don’t know, I’m not in her head.”
