Loren and Alexei Brovarnik Hate Big Ed Brown Just as Much as the Rest of Us on August 2, 2023 at 2:01 pm The Hollywood Gossip
Big Ed Brown will be one of the franchise villains on 90 Day: The Last Resort.
For years, each new announcement of his return to the show — on one spinoff or another — has elicited groans and complaints from viewers.
He’s not just a bad partner. Ed clashes with castmates and is an all-around toxic person.
So it’s no surprise that other 90 Day Fiance stars “loathe” him just as much as everyone else. Including fan-favorites Loren and Alexei.
Loren Brovarnik and husband Alexei Brovarnik sit side-by-side while wearing matching black tops.
The titular couple of Loren & Alexei: After The 90 Days sat down an episode of the When Reality Hits with Jax and Britney podcast.
Everyone who watches 90 Day Fiance and its small army of spinoffs has opinions. And so do the cast members themselves.
So Loren and Alexei came to face to face with the question of who on the franchise they simply cannot tolerate.
The infamous Big Ed Brown appears alongside his on-again, off-again (a dozen times over) love, Liz Woods in this promotional image for 90 Day: The Last Resort.
The answer was simple: Big Ed Brown, who has appeared and reappeared on this franchise to inflict himself upon multiple women — and upon viewers.
“I loathe, loathe him,” Loren stated firmly and relatably.
“He’s so insecure, but not at the same time,” she went on. “Just not a fan and I think everybody’s well aware of it.”
Loren Brovarnik opens her eyes wide as she relates the latest family troubles.
To be clear, neither Loren nor Alexei have suffered the extreme misfortune of having to share a Tell All stage with Ed.
Though they are longtime cast members of the same franchise, production has never forced them to rub elbows.
So they’ve dodged a few bullets.
During 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 4, Big Ed Brown had several nasty surprises for Rosemarie Vega.
Ed first appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. That’s only a couple of seasons ago, but it feels like forever.
At that time, the woman whom he was deceiving and insulting was Rosemarie Vega.
He went on to appear on 90 Day: The Single Life, where he set his sights on Liz Woods.
90 Day Fiance villain Big Ed Brown kisses Liz Woods, known to fans as Liz Marie, in an awkward on-screen moment.
Though he dated another woman on that same spinoff, Ed and Liz have gotten together about a dozen times (that we know of).
They appeared together on the latest season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?
During that Tell All, Ed demanded that Liz hand over her engagement ring. Why? Because she hadn’t blindly supported him when he was dead wrong.
Big Ed Brown demands that Liz Woods hand over her engagement ring. This is not the first time that his response to any disagreement has been to humiliate her, but this was a particularly public display of his pathology.
That was the same Tell All where Ed was outrageously hostile towards other castmates.
We don’t mean asking questions and challenging people on their answers. That’s part of the Tell All formula. And it’s usually a good thing.
Ed insulted and belittled Jenny Slatten so much that Jovi Dufren, who barely knows Jenny, confronted him over it. Of course, Ed just chanted that Jovi is a “pussy” because he didn’t have a real response. Charming guy.
Tragically, 90 Day: The Last Resort will premiere in the middle of August. Perhaps a meteor will take us all out before then.
Now, Ed will return for a new spinoff that no one requested.
90 Day: The Last Resort premieres August 14, and threatens a Marriage Boot Camp-style approach to five couples.
One of those couples will be Ed and Liz. And some grim spoilers suggest that Ed and Liz are getting married, so whatever nonsense went down on the show must have worked. (Or, more likely, poor Liz just doesn’t know how to end this)
Beloved fan-favorite Loren Brovarnik showed off her post-baby body less than half a year following her emergency C-section.
By the way, during that same interview, Loren also acknowledged that she has beef with her former castmates Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno.
They just didn’t vibe. And it didn’t help that Chantel referred to Loren’s Tourette syndrome as her “disease.”
Notably, Chantel and Pedro are very bitterly over. Loren and Alexei remain happily married and have three beautiful children.

TikTok Ban Drives 216% Rise in U.S. Users Learning Chinese on Duolingo
Duolingo has reported a remarkable 216% increase in U.S. users learning Mandarin Chinese, coinciding with the impending ban on TikTok, set to take effect on January 19, 2025. This surge is attributed to many TikTok users migrating to a new Chinese social media platform called RedNote (also known as Xiaohongshu), which defaults to Mandarin as its primary language. As TikTok users seek alternatives amidst concerns over data privacy and app availability, they are turning to RedNote, prompting a cultural exchange that has driven interest in learning Chinese.
The spike in Mandarin learners began around mid-January, aligning with the growing popularity of RedNote among former TikTok users. Duolingo’s marketing team has actively engaged with this trend on social media, humorously acknowledging the phenomenon with posts like “Learning Mandarin out of spite? You’re not alone”.
Additionally, Duolingo has seen a 36% increase in downloads in the U.S., reflecting heightened consumer demand for language learning resources as users adapt to the new social media landscape.
The transition from TikTok to RedNote has not been without challenges, as some users have encountered technical issues during registration and account suspensions.

TikTok’s Final Countdown: The Sunday Shutdown
As the clock ticks down to January 19, 2025, TikTok users in the United States are bracing for a significant disruption. The app, which boasts approximately 170 million users in the country, faces a potential ban that could render it non-functional by this Sunday. Here’s what you need to know about the impending ban and its implications.
Key Details of the Ban
The anticipated ban comes amid ongoing national security concerns regarding TikTok’s Chinese ownership. Government officials have raised alarms about the possibility of sensitive user data being accessed by Chinese authorities. As a result, the app is expected to be removed from digital app stores, effectively cutting off new downloads and updates.
What Will Happen?
- Removal from App Stores: On January 19, TikTok will likely be taken down from platforms like the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Existing Users Affected: Current users may find that their app becomes non-functional, losing access to new content creation and updates.
- Data Preservation Challenges: Users may face difficulties in preserving their data and content as the deadline approaches.
Recommendations for Users
In light of the impending ban, TikTok users should take proactive steps to safeguard their content and data:
- Download Personal Data: Users can access their TikTok settings to download their data before it’s too late.
- Export Saved Videos: Save any cherished videos or content that you wish to keep.
- Backup Content: Consider backing up your videos on alternative platforms.
- Explore Alternatives: As TikTok faces its potential shutdown, consider migrating to other platforms such as:
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- Lemon8
- Triller
Potential Scenarios
While the ban is set for this Sunday, there are several scenarios that could unfold in the coming days:
- Last-Minute Legal Intervention: There remains a possibility of a legal challenge that could delay or halt the ban.
- Temporary Injunction: Courts may issue a temporary injunction allowing TikTok to operate while legal proceedings continue.
- Complete Shutdown: If no intervention occurs, users will face a complete shutdown of the platform in the U.S. market.
Emotional Impact on Users
The potential ban is not just a technical disruption; it carries significant emotional weight for many users. Content creators who have built their brands on TikTok may experience economic repercussions as they lose a primary platform for engagement. Additionally, the shift could lead to broader changes in the social media landscape as users seek new avenues for expression and connection.
Conclusion
As we approach this critical deadline, TikTok users should remain vigilant and prepared for possible changes. Whether through legal maneuvers or a complete shutdown, the future of TikTok in the United States hangs in the balance. Stay tuned for real-time updates as we navigate this evolving situation together.
