Glaude, a native of Houston’s Fifth Ward, has built an impressive career as a writer, director, and producer. His journey from a challenging childhood to becoming a respected filmmaker is a testament to his resilience and creative vision. Glaude’s work often explores important social issues, with a particular focus on domestic violence, drawing from his personal experiences growing up.

As part of this new collaboration, Glaude will be developing and producing both television and film projects for Tyler Perry Studios. His first project under the deal is a feature film titled “A Love,” a psychological thriller that delves into the reality of domestic violence rooted in learned behavior from childhood. Production for “A Love” is set to begin in 2025.

Tyler Perry expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Courtney is a creative force to be reckoned with. We’re so excited to get in business with him and to see what his imagination will bring to the table here at the studio”.
