In terms of his current process, Jim admits to always exploring new projects, driven by his ever-evolving attention span. While “Enlighten Up” is not currently in discussions with producers, Jim expresses his excitement for the film festival circuit and envisions it as a precursor for discussions on spirituality mixed with comedy.

Inspired by his own thoughts and experiences, Jim shares that his characters are often influenced by themes and ideas he grapples with internally. The main character, Rita, played by Joelle Velez, is inspired by a dear friend, while other characters reflect different aspects of Jim’s personality.

When asked about his screenplay’s place in the market, Jim sees “Enlighten Up” as a fitting addition to discussions on spirituality and humor. He envisions pairing a Buddhist teacher with a comedian to create a unique live performance experience.
