A woman who accused Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting her in 2000 when she was 13 years old has come forward, acknowledging inconsistencies in her account while maintaining her overall allegations. The accuser, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, spoke with NBC News about the incident she described as a “catastrophic event“.
The woman recounted a night involving a limousine ride, a disorienting drink, and an alleged assault by the two music moguls. However, both she and her legal team admitted to several discrepancies in her narrative when pressed by NBC News.
Key inconsistencies include:
- The woman claimed her father picked her up after the alleged assault, but he denies remembering such an event.
- She stated she spoke with a celebrity at the party, but that individual’s representative said they were on tour at the time.
- Photos show Jay-Z and Combs at a different location than the one described by the accuser.
Despite these discrepancies, the woman stands by her overall allegations, stating, “I have made some mistakes” in recalling the events from 24 years ago. Her attorney, Tony Buzbee, emphasized that inconsistencies do not necessarily invalidate her claims.
Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations, stating, “This incident didn’t happen“. His legal team has requested the court dismiss the case, citing the inconsistencies as evidence of a baseless claim.
