Former President Donald Trump surrendered to authorities in Georgia on Thursday evening and was booked into Fulton County Jail on 13 counts, including racketeering and conspiracy charges.

As soon as his mug shot was released, it was quickly circulated and even became a campaign rallying cry for the former president.

Trump returned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to defiantly send the message that he will never surrender. In a written message on his website, Trump wrote “what has taken place today is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

Fulton County DA Fani Willis has requested that Trump and the 18 other defendants be arraigned next month and has requested an October 23rd trial date.
