Justin Jefferson Joins Madden 99 Club

Published

on

After just three seasons in the league, Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson has earned himself amongst the best of the best. As part of the rollout for Madden NFL 24, Jefferson was announced as the first member of the exclusive “99 club.”

That rating is the highest that any player can receive in an officially licensed video game and with that, Jefferson became the highest rated wide receiver in Vikings history. The previous record was held by Randy Moss, who topped out at a 98 rating.

Jefferson led the league in the 2022 season with 128 catches and 1,809 yards. For his career, he has amassed 476 receptions for 4,825 yards and 25 touchdowns.

He took to Twitter to react to the announcement and it’s safe to say that he will definitely not need to create a player and make them a 99 anymore.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill took second spot on the list, coming in with a rating of 98. The full list of the ten highest rated receivers can be found here.

The Bellingham Show: Barcelona Left in Awe of Madrid’s New Maestro

Barcelona’s Golden Boy – Gundogan

The transfer move of Ilkay Gundogan from Manchester City to Barcelona raised numerous eyebrows. But on a night when the football world watched with bated breath, Gundogan shined. Slotted into a deeper role by Xavi, many would have expected his impact to be minimal, but how wrong they were. Scoring his maiden Clasico goal, Gundogan displayed the prowess that made him a cornerstone at City. But for all his brilliance, he was somewhat overshadowed by another.

Madrid’s Lethargic Display

Advertisement

It’s almost unfathomable how a squad bursting with talent can start so slow. Ancelotti’s men looked out of sorts. Their lack of decisiveness in the defence was alarming, and Barcelona capitalised on it. Memories of their lacklustre display against Atletico Madrid flashed before the eyes of Madridistas. Could history repeat itself? But then, out from the shadows emerged a figure, someone destined to be Madrid’s saviour.

Cancelo’s Curious Case

Xavi’s decision to use Cancelo, renowned for his stint under Pep at City, in an advanced role was perplexing. Deployed more as a defensive winger than an offensive dynamo, Cancelo’s role was clear: counteract Madrid’s build-up, particularly neutralising Kroos. Though not glittering offensively, he executed his duties diligently. But then, it was *that* man again who changed the script.

Bellingham’s Bernabeu Brilliance at Montjuic

Barcelona’s stronghold seemed certain to endure, especially with young prodigy Gavi keeping Bellingham silent. But cometh the hour, cometh the man. Bellingham’s equaliser was a goal for the ages, a testament to his prowess and an omen of what was to come. And when Real needed a hero the most, who better than Bellingham to deliver the killer blow, silencing Camp Nou?

FootballNews4You.com Take

Let’s address the elephant in the room. Bellingham is not just a rising star; he’s the meteoric force taking La Liga by storm. While many talk about Haaland, Bellingham is reshaping narratives. His story is not one of luck but one of sheer grit, determination, and undeniable talent. He’s Madrid’s jewel.

While Xavi and Vinicius Jr’s touchline drama offered a momentary distraction, the real spectacle was Bellingham’s undeniable dominance. One must ask: How did Dortmund let such a gem slip through?

Barcelona might feel they did enough, and in many ways, they did. Gundogan was brilliant, Cancelo tactically astute. But against a force of nature like Bellingham, even the best-laid plans falter.

Concluding Thoughts

The Clasico delivered, as always. Passion, drama, and a masterclass from an Englishman in Spain. The world needs to brace itself. Bellingham is not coming; he’s already here. Barcelona learned that the hard way. The next Clasico? Expect the Bellingham show, once again. The lad’s on fire, and there’s no extinguishing this blaze.

Note to the world: Dismiss Real Madrid at your peril, especially with Bellingham on the prowl. The King of Madrid? Perhaps, it’s too early to say. But the throne beckons, and Bellingham seems more than ready to claim it.

The Top 6 most valuable players in world football

Transfer fees dominate world football nowadays, and the figures paid for players only seems to be rising each year. With some promising young players breaking through on the world’s biggest stage in recent years, you might be somewhat surprised with who has made the top-six most valuable players according to Transfermarkt. We’ll take a look at the top-five, and how much they’re worth.

1= Erling Haaland – £155.3m

Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland is top of the joint-top of the pile when it comes to the most valuable players in world football right now. The Manchester City forward has scored goals for fun in the Premier League, despite some fans predicting that he wouldn’t be able to follow up his impressive record at Borussia Dortmund.

He’s arguably priceless to Manchester City at this moment in time, and he’s a player that is likely to win a considerable amount of trophies for Pep Guardiola’s side moving forwards.

1= Kylian Mbappe – £155.3m

Mbappe’s future with PSG has been up in the air in recent months, but that hasn’t stopped him from being the joint most valuable player in the world. The Frenchman has been hugely impressive for club and country since he burst onto the scene with AS Monaco, and has netted 220 goals in 269 appearances for PSG in all competitions, which certainly justifies a hefty price tag.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in recent months, and it’ll be interesting to see whether they’re willing to meet PSG’s demands to land his signature anytime soon.

If you’re a keen bettor, then you could be tempted by the odds on Mbappe to finish as the top goalscorer in the Champions League for the 2023/24 season. BonusCodeBets have revealed that Sky Bet have priced Mbappe at 9/2 to finish as the top goalscorer in this competition. Below, you’ll find the betting odds with this operator for the rest of the expected frontrunners.

Erling Haaland @ 7/4
Harry Kane @ 3/1
Robert Lewandowski @ 10/1
Julian Alvarez @ 14/1
Gabriel Jesus @ 16/1
Joao Felix @ 16/1
Jude Bellingham @ 20/1

Odds displayed are correct as of 12:15 pm, Thursday 12th October 2023. Odds are subject to change.

Vinicius Junior – £130.5m

The young Brazilian has been brilliant with Real Madrid in recent seasons, and at the age of 23, he’s still got plenty of room to improve in the future. Vinicius Junior has scored 62 goals and been on hand to provide 65 assists in 232 appearances for Real Madrid, and he’ll be hoping to add to that tally in the future.

He’s worth a sizeable amount of money, and he’ll be key to any potential successes that the Spanish giants have in the future.

4= Jude Bellingham – £103.6m

Where do we start with Jude Bellingham? The midfielder has had a rapid rise to the very top of world football, and is destined for greatness both on a domestic and international level in the near future. He started off at Birmingham City, before making the move to Borussia Dortmund. He went from strength to strength with the German side, before making the move to Real Madrid.

Bellingham has certainly hit the ground running with Real Madrid, and has

ten goals in as many games for them, and he’ll be eager to build on this hugely impressive start moving forwards.

4= Bukayo Saka – £103.6m

Saka has been the key man for Arsenal in recent months, as they begin to turn themselves into serious title challengers alongside Manchester City. Saka has been a constant threat for the Gunners in wide areas, and he’ll be hoping that he can play a starring role for England in the upcoming European Championships which are set to take place next summer. It’s unsurprising to see him featured in the top-six most valuable players, as he’s got age on his side, and is performing at the top of his game right now.

4= Victor Osimhen – £103.6m

The Napoli forward has had off-field troubles with the club in recent months, but seems to be behind them nowadays, which will be pleasing for the club’s supporters. Osimhen has caught the eye with  strong performances since signing for the Italian giants, and has scored 65 goals in 111 appearances for Napoli, and it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see other clubs registering their interest in landing his signature either in the January transfer window, or summer transfer window.

How Does PayID Interact with International Payment Systems

NPP (the New Payments Platform) has greatly assisted in making significant progress in the digital payments infrastructure of Australia since 2018. The best proof of this is the current status of the country as the 13th biggest e-commerce market in the globe.

In addition, it is estimated that Australia will surpass the world average by 10%, with a CAGR of about 13% between 2021 and 2025. One of the vital powers behind the New Payments Platform’s success is the well-recognized payment solution, PayID.

It is a safe and easy-to-use payment option that is massively used in all possible fields and sectors of the country, including gambling. That’s the reason why today you can come across so many PayID casinos in Australia featuring this up-to-date banking method.

But how does PayID work within a global payment gateway? Let’s find the answer together.

The General Overview of PayID – What Is It and How Does It Work?

As you can probably guess from the name itself, PayID is a linked ID-based banking option that enables users to perform various transactions without the need for nerve-wracking and lengthy verification procedures. It is part of an NPP initiative backed by the government that aims to simplify online payments and foster a more digitalized economy.

With PayID, customers must sign into their respective mobile banking app or online platform and use the receiver ID to deposit money. Generally, the user’s ID is either the mobile number or email address, making it easy to remember.

PayID in The International Payment Infrastructure

Even though PayID has quite popularity within Australia, it is still a new and not widely known name in the international market. At the moment, PayID, along with the NPP, has only expanded to New Zealand, thereby limiting its global operability to the Oceania region.

It means that any desire or plan to make international transactions outside of this region requires an intermediary banking provider that will serve as an international payment gateway.

Simply put, online transactions conducted internationally with PayID should first be executed through a certain third-party payment system that provides PayID as a banking option. Then, all other steps at this stage of the transaction process as usual.

Once the transaction is completed, the funds will be credited to the offshore accounts of the payment provider before being

Then, upon completion of the transaction, the funds are transferred into the payment provider’s offshore accounts before going to the foreign seller’s account.

Pros and Cons of Using PayID for Online Payment Gateways

Nothing is perfect in this world, and you probably can’t find any payment provider that lacks a single drawback. PayID is not an exception as well – it has both benefits and disadvantages that shape the whole “appearance” of this payment method. Let’s have a look.

Pros

Swift and Easy-to-Process Transactions: Payments with PayID only require a mobile banking service and a simple ID number to complete the transaction. Typically, all payments made through PayID are instant and take place in real-time, thanks to the NPP’s provided infrastructure.
No Account Needed: Customers are not required to create a special account to use PayID. They don’t even need a dedicated application for it. All a user needs is a one-of-a-kind ID that can be either a mobile number or email address.
Minimized Risk of Mistakes: When you deposit through PayID, you can see the name of the person to whom you want to transfer funds on your screen. It helps to identify the right receiver and eliminates the risk of mistakes.

Cons

Geo-Restrictions: Not all countries and regions have the opportunity to use PayID, as it is still relatively new for the international market.

Fees and Commissions When Using PayID

At the moment, there are no fixed fees when it comes to using PayID itself. It’s because fees and commissions are mainly managed by the participating banks and financial institutions on their own terms.

Regardless of this vagueness, however,  the typical fees that come to light from making international payments through third-party providers still apply. It can include FX costs and setup fees.

So, it’s always a great idea to check all the details concerning potential fees with the payment provider.
